The Story Before River Branch
A New Chapter, Built From Real Experience
Every story has a beginning, and River Branch began long before it had a name.
For years, DeShawna has been trusted to photograph hundreds of wedding days, proposals, portraits, events, and meaningful celebrations through DeShawna & Co and in partnership with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons. Her experience also extends beyond the camera, working in wedding planning with Fairy Tales & Wedding Bells and getting to see an entirely different side of what couples carry into a wedding day.
Together, those experiences shaped the way she sees people - not just through a camera, but in the quiet moments when they need calm, guidance, encouragement, or space to simply be themselves.
River Branch grew from that work.
It came from noticing that the most meaningful photographs were rarely the loudest moments. They were the in-between ones - the hand squeeze, the deep breath, the look across a room, the walk under the trees, the little pause where everything finally felt real.
